Playing with a group

For churches, classrooms, daycares and care homes.

Luke Follows Jesus is free, with no ads, purchases or chat, and nobody needs an account to play. Here is how to run it for a Sunday school class, a daycare, a church game night or a care home.

What you need

One screen everyone can see, such as a TV, projector, laptop or tablet. Sound on helps too.
Phones or tablets for players, or printed paper cards for Bingo. Teams can share one device.
An internet connection for the screen and for each phone or tablet that joins.

Best games for a room

Bible Bingo · up to 60 players

Open Bible Bingo, choose Host a game and pick a game. People join with the six-character code on their own phone, or play on a paper card you print from the host screen. For care homes, choose Easy play: the slowest calls, a big card and text, cards that mark themselves and the caller’s voice. You can pause the calling any time.

Family Game Night · up to 24 players or teams

Wheel of Faith, Scripture Showdown and Wisdom Board. Open Family Game Night on the computer or tablet connected to the big screen, host the game there and switch to the TV view. Everyone else joins on their own phones; teams share one phone or tablet and answer together. A party keeps everyone together from one game to the next.

One-on-one or a small table

For a volunteer sitting with a child or a resident: Common Thread (try the Kids puzzles), Faith Match, Garden Sort, Daily Bread and Today’s Bible story, which can read itself aloud.

Five minutes before you start

Open lukefollowsjesus.com on the big screen and turn the sound up.
Choose the game and tap Host a game. Pick a slower pace if you are unsure.
Tell everyone to open lukefollowsjesus.com, tap Join a game and type the code on the screen.
Ask people to use a first name or a team name, not a full name.

Turn on Larger text for bigger words and buttons in every game on this device. It stays on until you turn it off. You can also find it on the home page under More.

Aim-and-drive games (golf, Light Brigade, Faith Journey, Faith Climb) keep their normal size so the whole course still fits. Bingo has its own larger card, which follows this choice.

Children’s privacy

Children play as guests. Accounts are for adults and parents only, and there are no child accounts, public profiles or player messages. In a room, other players see the name each person types and how they are doing in the game, so a first name or team name is best. See the privacy policy for details.
